Hello, my name is Dr. Sandra Rice. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California. I earned my master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University, then went on to earn my doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have worked within the criminal justice system with parolees and incarcerated individuals for the past 8 years. Previously, I worked with children in foster care as well as adults living in a homeless transitional program. These experiences have taught me how to show warmth and empathy to my clients, regardless of their past or present life circumstances. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches with my clients ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Therapy,
Often therapy is sought out when one feels stuck or unsatisfied with a part of their life. I like to focus on what is working and how to help create more positive and meaningful experiences. I like to meet my clients where they are and firmly believe they are the experts in their lives; no one knows you better than you.
